🟢Pet Guardy - Early Exit After Solving a Life-or-Death Problem
Status: Acquired
Timeline: Concept to exit in under 12 months
Role: Founder & Product Creator
Co-founder: Nicolás Vanni (now leading the company)
✈️ Born from a Crisis at 30,000 Feet
PetGuardy was born in the middle of an emergency.
While flying from the Philippines to Spain, I had a sudden realization:
“If this plane crashes, my two pets will die. And no one will even know they need help.”
That thought hit me hard, and it didn’t let go.
Then I thought: How many people leave home every day, unaware that any accident could leave their pets abandoned, hungry, or worse — dead?
Every hour, accidents happen. Yet pets, totally dependent, are rarely considered in emergency planning.
That’s when the idea became crystal clear.

🛡️ The Solution: A Safety Net for Your Pets
PetGuardy is an emergency-response platform that protects your pets if something happens to you.
• 🐶 Users can assign Emergency Guardians who get instantly notified if you’re in an accident.
• 📍 Integrates with accident detection tools (like Health apps or city alerts).
• 🧾 Allows real-time status sharing, feeding instructions, vet info, and home access.
• 🔐 Keeps pets safe, fed, and cared for even when you can’t be there.

🛠️ Building, Then Letting It Fly
Once I saw the problem and envisioned the solution, I knew it had to exist.
I immediately jumped into building the MVP, day and night, for months, knowing how many lives it could impact (both human and animal).
Then, serendipity hit:
I met an investor by chance, shared the story and the product, and they instantly saw the potential.
A deal was made.
I sold PetGuardy, and my co-founder Nicolás Vanni stayed on to lead and scale the company with full focus and passion.
📈 Why It Matters
PetGuardy isn’t just an app, it’s peace of mind.
It addresses a problem that millions haven’t yet thought about, but will one day face.
And now, thanks to that emergency flight, it exists.
